in case you missed his tumblr post, here’s the stream to Frank Ocean’s album Channel Orange. thank me by going to itunes and putting .02 cents in his pocket by buying the album. i realize that’s an odd request seeing as though i just posted it here, for the free, but if you want to listen to it on your way to the train or maybe while doing pilates or whatever, you’ll need the actual album. so buy it. it’s blowing up the homepage and easy to find. oh, and i’d be lying if i said i didn’t love him just a little bit more for coming out and living his truth. and for being a southern-bayou bred throwback to soulful simplicity. in Pilot Jones (and a couple other moments) he even has a bit of a Prince feel, aka the best compliment ever. Pink Matter is almost too much for me with Andre 3000’s feature and guitar solo. Super Rich Kids is a head-nod stand out. just listen, and purchase. it’s a straight thru listen, and i mean, how often does that happen? dude has it.
