do us all a solid and DONATE!

my beautifully brave friend, Lauren, has turned her family’s personal struggle with this disease into consistent awareness efforts and now, with her husband and friends, created the Hilarity for Charity foundation. did you know Alzheimer’s is the one and ONLY cause of death among the top 10 that has absolutely no cure, no way of prevention, and it can’t even be slowed down? i don’t know about you, but that statistic shakes me to my core. without a cure, there’s still so much to be done. let’s all do our part to keep our memories and the memories of our loved ones safe in their minds and hearts.

please see a message from Lauren (via Facebook) below:

“As many of you know, my mother was diagnosed six years ago with early onset Alzheimer’s at only 55. Since then, my husband and friends and I have created the Hilarity For Charity foundation through The Alzheimer’s Association to raise money for support groups, research, and individual care. Currently, Crowdrise.com, an amazing charity website, is hosting a contest with Mozilla Firefox in which charities compete against each other to raise money. The charity that raises the most gets an additional $50,000. That’s a lot. And would go a long way for a disease that is still so mysterious and so truly devastating. I have 746 friends on here. If every one of you donated $5, that would be a heck of a lot of money. I know there are a lot of worthy causes out there, but I hope you’ll consider giving a day of your Starbucks money to Alzheimer’s. Thanks!”

you know how i’m always bragging about my friends being cooler than yours? well, now i have proof. check out the trailer for the hilarious film “For A Good Time, Call…”, coming to theaters this fall!! that gorgeous brunette getting her phone sex on is my dear friend, Lauren Miller, who also wrote all those sexy words along with Katie Anne Naylon.

it looks good doesn’t it? you’re dying to see it aren’t you? well, good. do that. watch the trailer, fall in love, and share the crap out of this. then once it comes out, go see it three times. and have your friends do the same.

ever wondered how to avoid date rape? learn here, in this clip from “For a Good Time Call” featuring Ari Graynor and Lauren Miller (also writer/producer and all-around beautiful broad & friend). i’m hearing nothing but rave reviews for it’s premiere screening last night at Sundance. things like: “she’s a star!”, “fresh & funny”, “hilarious”, “ready for theatrical distribution”. i couldn’t be more excited and happy for the cast & crew!!!

i just know this well-written, hilarious comedy about girlfriend love will find a larger audience soon. and it will be worth the wait. sending warm fuzzies to the girls in Utah! i hope you’re having the BEST time ever.
